Lino-cuts create a bold, high contrast image. Texture is often used to create value differentiation.

Choose an image or sketch from your "33 squared" series to develop into a linoleum print.

It is very important that you think of the following things when you design your image and cut your plate:

  1. Simple is best! The soft-cut plate that we are using is not good for fine details.
  2. Think in black and white.
  3. Think in reverse: the material you remove will be white in your final image. The material you leave will be black.
